Family and Friends of Joseph S.Tinervia

The Joseph S. Tinervia Business, English Communications Endowed Scholarship was established in loving memory of Joe Tinervia who was a 28 year teaching veteran of the Business Communications Department at Saddleback College. He formerly worked as an editor and author for McGraw Hill in NYC. He did business seminars for such famous clients as UCI, Disney, Moulton Niguel Water District, the Irvine Company, etc. His larger than life personality showcased his love for people, his love of the English language, and his love for teaching. The scholarship is for a deserving student who perhaps has overcome some particular hardship in his/ or her life and shares enthusiastic qualities for the English language, communications through writing, editing, and by helping others to succeed.
